Biker Chic? When did that happen?

I was pagin thru this fashion thang and yep, Mickey is mentioned in it. This mag was tellin bout whut the trends are for fall, for men and women. According to them, one of the hot fashions for fall is biker gear ala Mickey Rourke in Rumblefish. Well 1st and foremost I bout shiot the proverbial brick that Mickey was actually mentioned in there. My next thought was, WTF! Biker gear is fashionable now? Ya know I was lmfao at that one.I had a bad mental image of all these starched collars that dont even own a bike donning whut this mag called biker gear, and especially Rumblefish era at that. To me, and this is juz me here, but, ya gotta have the whole attitude and presence to carry off sumthan like that if ya arent a honest to gawd biker kinda person. The whole thing gave me a well needed laugh.

I grew up with these kinda peeps and have a special place in my heart for a certain biker group round these parts. I cant imagine someone who dosent have a clue trying to emulate these peeps thru clothing at that. I do think it was cool that out of all the biker kinda flicks on the shelves these days, that they dusted off Rumblefish as an example, and used Mickeys name associated with it. Well, DUH, he was motorcycle boy in the flick.rotflmfao!!

I did read an interview/article a few weeks ago from the time period of when Mickey and his departed brother Joe had the news stand, candy shop, soda fountain thang in Beverly Hills.(sue me if Im wrong on WTF it as, its been another long azz day...I hate customers some days...rotflmfao). I do recall Giuseppe Franco was in that interview/article too, along wif some other peeps. Basically the jist of it was, no one had bikes in Beverly Hills till Mickey and Joey came to town. When Mickey, Joey, Giuseppe and a few other pals of theirs started cruisin their bikes, then it became trendy. Mickey was biotching in this article thang, that it was now the in thing, for the weekend warriors and wannabe's to get a bike, don some leather, cruise and raise hell. Then Mickey and company would more often than not get blamed for the hellraising these other peeps did. The kick in the balls was that Mickey and friends din even know these other peeps. The cops assumed that they all knew one another and with it bein the 80's when Mickey was way well known, the cops would pinch him for the antics of these other dudes. Talk bout a total pisser huh?

Anyway, all these silly thoughts crossed my mind when I read that fashion thang givin ode to Mickey Rumblefish style. Hey thats kickin he was mentioned in the article with all the other choices out there in this genre of dress. They made the best choice in my opinion here, cuz if Mickey is one thing and one thing only, he aint no poser.
