Monday, July 31st was not a good day for Sista' and myself. Our site - uniquelyrourke - was down for several hours due to a hacker.. yep, everything was wiped out - but with the help of the folks at Tripod our site is back up and running. Who would do such a thing - well Sista' and I have our suspicions. Ya know -no matter how much we don't like someone - we would never tamper with the work they publish on their web site. If any of ya - have your own web site - you know all the hard work involved with running a site. That kind of malicious intent - has never crossed our minds.. Hell, we can play "war of the words" all day long and when you have the truth on your side...it makes things a lot easlier. The only way Sista' and I got through all this bullshiot is knowing that whoever did this will have to deal with the powers that be. Sista' and I believe in the ole saying - what goes around - comes around -it's all about karma. Although , karma works on it's on time , eventually it will bite ya on the ass. There is nothing more for us to do - except to carry on - and continue the site.
With that being said - we would like to say 'Thanks' to our friends - who lent their support to us -when they found out our site was down. These special folks - you know who you are - sent Sista' and I messages stating - that if there was anything they could do -to help get the site back up - let them know. It's great to have such kick ass friends...
In the end - no one dictates to us what or who we put on our site. As I've always written on the skinny - if you don't like the site - then click off.. Free will - is what it's all about.
